Nurture Life’s Fall Menu Is Here!

SEPTEMBER 6, 2019

Shorter days, cooler weather and busy back-to-school routines? It’s hard to believe that summer’s gone, but our team is ready to embrace fall. Along with a much-needed break from the heat, fall means that Nurture Life’s new seasonal menu is here!

Our Fall Menu serves up plenty of nutritious, ready-to-eat meals for kids, toddlers and babies—along with add-on Family Meals big enough to share. Ready in 3 minutes or less, our kids meal delivery will give your family the freedom to jump into your favorite fun-filled fall activities.

Explore just a few highlights of the Fall Menu below!

Delicious and Nutritious Kids Meal Delivery

Our kid-approved meals have something for everyone, from picky first graders to adventurous middle schoolers. They’re perfect to pack in a thermos in your little one’s lunch box or as a heat-and-eat meal for busy weeknights.

Beef & Broccoli Noodles

kids meals beef & broccoli noodles

What’s better than Chinese takeout leftovers? Our Beef & Broccoli Noodles! These flavorful noodles pack the flavorful zest of ginger, sesame and garlic in every bite, with beef, steamed broccoli and whole wheat noodles for a thoughtfully balanced plate (or school-friendly thermos).

What makes it extra nutritious?

Beef is high in protein and a good source of iron! These important nutrients help build muscle and keep your little one’s body supplied with oxygen.

Butternut Squash Ravioli

kids meal butternut squash ravioli

One of our all-time fall favorites, butternut squash is served in abundance with this tasty meal! This autumn veggie is not only stuffed into the ravioli but also blended smoothly into a creamy sauce and sprinkled on top for a finishing pop of vibrant orange.

What makes it extra nutritious?

Beyond its nutty taste and autumn-orange color, we love butternut squash for its healthful trio of vitamin A, potassium and fiber.

Chicken Fricassee

kids meal Chicken Fricassee

A perfectly homey comfort food, our Chicken Fricassee combines tenderly roasted chicken breast with a classic veggie blend of mushrooms, carrots, celery and onions. We toss it all in a lemony cream sauce that brings a smooth finish without feeling too heavy! To balance it out, we add a side of roasted sweet and Yukon gold potatoes that pair perfectly with the bright and warm fricassee flavors.

What makes it extra nutritious?

This meal only feels decadent! We keep salt and saturated fat in check while serving up fiber and vitamins A (carrots), B (mushrooms) and C (potatoes).

Citrus Salmon with Mango-Edamame Rice

kids meal citrus salmon

Full of salmon’s superfood goodness, this meal will keep your kid energized for an active day at school, from the classroom to the sports field. Mango-edamame brown rice offers a naturally sweet counterpart to savory roasted salmon coated in a bright sauce made from orange juice and a light togarashi-inspired seasoning.

What makes it extra nutritious?

Salmon is packed with protein and “good fats” (like omega-3 fatty acids), which support a child’s healthy heart and developing brain.

Turkey Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes

kids meal turkey meatloaf

Nothing says fall like turkey and mashed potatoes, even if it’s not quite time for the Thanksgiving Day Parade! We take our own spin on the classic turkey feast by making a lean turkey meatloaf  paired with a side of cauliflower mashed potatoes and ratatouille veggies.

What makes it extra nutritious?

The fun thing about meatloaf is you can blend in plenty of nutritious ingredients! Besides ground turkey, our meatloaf mixes in celery, red bell pepper, carrots and onions for an extra vitamin boost.

Spinach Stuffed Gnocchi

When your kid looks at this meal, they might only notice the pillowy gnocchi and bright red sauce—but what if we told you there were nine different veggies in our Spinach Stuffed Gnocchi? Besides the creamy spinach surprise on the inside of each gnocchi, our kid-friendly bolognese sauce blends in eight different veggies for plenty of flavor and vitamins.

What makes it extra nutritious?

So what are these eight veggies in our bolognese? Tomatoes, carrots, onions, zucchini, eggplant, mushrooms, bell peppers and yellow squash—each with its own nutritious benefit and delightful flavor.

Orange Chicken with Takeout-Style Rice

kids meal orange chicken

Whether packed in a lunch box or served for dinner, this Orange Chicken is a wholesome alternative to a fast food staple. Served with an egg-and-veggie brown rice and a side of steamed broccoli, our Asian-inspired chicken is sure to be your kid’s school-year favorite.

What makes it extra nutritious?

We’ve reduced the oil, sugar and salt of artificial orange sauce, relying instead on the natural zest and zing of garlic, ginger and real orange juice.

Delightfully Shareable Family Meals

Along with our signature meal delivery for kids, our Fall Menu has wholesome Family Meals too. Pass the nutrition around to everyone at the table with family-sized mains and sides that can be added to your kids or toddler meal delivery subscription (but can’t be purchased alone).

Pork Al Pastor

family meal pork al pastor

Marinated with tangy pineapple juice and a classic chili-herb blend, our pork shoulder is slow-braised until tender enough to fall right off your fork. It’s rich and flavorful yet versatile enough to serve with nearly any veggie or whole grain side.

What makes it extra nutritious?

Our Pork Al Pastor is a good source of iron and potassium, along with protein to keep your muscles energized.

Corn Pudding

family meal corn pudding

This is not your grandmother’s corn pudding! Although it serves up the same lightly sweet and savory flavor, our Corn Pudding uses coconut milk instead of heavy cream for a lighter take that doesn’t bring down the taste.

What makes it extra nutritious?

With just 2 grams of fat per serving, our Corn Pudding maintains that delightfully creamy and pillowy texture without the high fat content.

Orange Salmon with Soy Glaze

family meals orange salmon with soy glaze

We take Norwegian salmon fillets, lightly brush them with a soy glaze and then roast them to perfection. A housemade orange sauce tops them off with a citrusy finish that pairs well with nearly any veggie on the side.

What makes it extra nutritious?

High in vitamin D, protein and omega-3 fatty acids, salmon tastes just as super as its superfood nutritional content.

Soy-Garlic Rice with Stir-Fry Veggies

family meal soy-garlic rice with stir-fry veggies

Our chefs’ signature soy-garlic sauce has been such a hit that we made a whole new dish for it! Tossed into brown rice and a colorful six-veggie medley, our Asian-inspired sauce embraces the flavor of fried rice without the need for oily wok-frying.

What makes it extra nutritious?

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a vitamin that’s not in this delicious mix of carrots, zucchini, squash, broccoli, bell pepper and red onion!

Beef Butternut Squash Chili

family meal beef butternut squash chili

This warm and hearty meal will certainly earn a spot on your family’s fall menu! Our chili is a nutrient powerhouse of whole grain farro, fiber-filled legumes and protein-rich beef—all stewed together with cheddar cheese, butternut squash and a housemade spice blend.

What makes it extra nutritious?

With black beans, kidney beans and ground beef, this meal offers a diverse source of proteins along with fiber, iron and calcium.

Imaide Steverango

As a Research and Development Manager at Nurture Life, Imaide is in charge of developing nutritionally dense, culturally diverse meals for babies, toddlers and kids. Her goal is to create delicious meals that balance protein, veggies and complex carbs in dishes that celebrate flavors and ingredients that might not otherwise be introduced into the home. She loves the challenge of making veggies more kid-friendly, especially when she finds a way to showcase them at the forefront of a meal. With a Bachelor’s degree in culinary nutrition and a concentration in clinical dietetics, Imaide brings a balance of culinary expertise and nutrition knowledge. In her previous position as Executive Chef and Food Service Director at a childcare center, she was in charge of feeding children from 6 months to 6 years old. This allowed her to gain a strong understanding of what flavors, textures and ingredients kids love. Imaide’s passion for food is rooted in its power to bring people together—food lets children learn about diversity and how what we eat can help us accept each other’s differences.
